New Article

Hey! First, I just wanted to say I’m really excited about working with Alyse and Michelle on Brilliance. I’ve been a fan of the site since forever, and it’ll be fantastic to have a part in it.

Also, I typed up the article on Jude that ran in Premiere magazine from March of this year. The photos that went with the article will be up soon – we’re still working on transferring over all of the images from Jude-Law.org.

Comic-Con Coverage

Various coverage of Jude’s appearance at Comic-Con is now online. Jude answered questions from the audience and took part in a very special Sky Captian cast signing limited to raffle winners. You can view video and read interviews at the following:

Thanks to Katie for the above photos. It was also just announced that World of Tomorrow is set to screen at this year’s Venice Film Festival. The publicity for this film is just starting – expect plenty more leading up to its September 17th release date.

The trailer for Closer is now online and in theatres. It’s playing attached to Natalie Portman’s new film Garden State. It’s a very cool trailer that does not give away too much. I was lucky enough to have seen a test screening of this film a few months ago and it was really well done. Jude is great in it of course!

Lastly, there are rumors going around that Jude is in talks to star in a bio-pic of Joy Division singer Ian Curtis. Nothing has been announced and it’s only one of the many rumored roles that Jude is up for.

New Images

Added 333 new images from Cold Mountain. 20 are new stills and 313 are screen captures that Alex made. Working on changing the film pages in the Gallery to include more info. Cold Mountain is the only one so far updated.

Brilliance now has two new fans, Alex and Michelle, on the team to help maintain and update this fansite. Michelle ran Jude-Law.org for a long time and has now joined forces with Brilliance. Alex runs an Emile Hirsch fansite. Both are fans of Jude and are working with me to make Brilliance better than ever!

Jude Law Joins Brideshead Revisited Adaptation
Wednesday, May 26, 2004

The New York Social Dairy website reports that Jude Law will be joining Paul Bettany and Jennifer Connelly in the movie version of Evelyn Waugh’s romantic novel Brideshead Revisited, from Warner Independent Pictures.

The film will be directed by David Yates from a script by Andrew Davies. Set in the 1920s and ’30s, it is the story of Charles Ryder (Bettany), an aspiring painter who gets mixed up with the aristocratic, beautiful, doomed Flyte family – sister Julia (Connolly) and gay brother Sebastian (Law).

Law is expected to spend the summer in Derbyshire, England at the country seat of the Dukes of Devonshire, Chatsworth, filming the adaptation. The Sebastian Flyte role was made famous in the 1981 series by Anthony Andrews.

The original series was filmed at Castle Howard in Yorkshire, starring Claire Bloom and Sir Laurence Olivier. The role of Charles Ryder, Sebastian’s very romantic school chum who was infatuated but evidently straight was played by Jeremy Irons and made him a star.

Tulip Fever back on

Good news about Tulip Fever. According BBC News, the film is back on track and Jude is still attached:

Tulip Fever, which featured Jude Law and Keira Knightley in its cast, is still reorganising its finances and arranging a new schedule.

Kate Lee of Freud Communications, which represents Tulip Fever and other films, said some movies had to “start from scratch” again after losing funding.

“It set everything back about six months, I suppose,” she said. “Everything is still not 100% back on track.”
