Actor JUDE LAW has disappointed British comic RICKY GERVAIS by pulling out of his forthcoming star-studded television comedy EXTRAS.
The ALFIE heart-throb, who was set to play himself in an episode of the long-awaited THE OFFICE follow-up, has blamed “work commitments” for the turn-around.
Also, according to BBC News – Britain’s National Youth Music Theatre, where Jude started his career, has been denied a £100,000 grant by the Arts Council. Jude, his friend and fellow actor Jonny Lee Miller, comic Matt Lucas, and other performers have sent a letter to The Times newspaper that protests the decision. “The NYMT has a highly distinguished record of achievement and performance accumulated over the past 28 years,” they wrote. “We deplore the decision of the Arts Council.”

Aww, what a shame that Jude won’t be able to make an appearance on that show. I know he was looking forward to it, ’cause he’s a big fan of Ricky Gervais and “The Office”, so he’s probably not too happy about it.
I love it when Jude always shows support for his roots and where he came from. I mean, I find out constantly that numerous brilliant young British talents went to the NYMT. It’d be horrible to see it go.
